Samsung LN32D430G3D User Manual

Downloading the correct drivers for a LCD TV LN32D430G3D-related hardware device can be difficult because of the lack of sources, and difficulties locating them on the official Samsung website. Locating, downloading, and manually updating your Windows LCD TV LN32D430G3D driver does take a lot of time, making the process unbearable for most users. Installing the wrong driver will prevent the Windows from starting at all or worse, lead to absolute failure.

And the leads to what I think is the problem. On some samsung models, including the one mentioned in this thread, at least one (don't know if it's all) hdmi inputs supports CEC (consumer electronics control). Hopefully only one of the hdmi inputs supports this which leads to the suggestion to simply try a different hdmi input on the tv. The second suggestion, looking at a samsung manual is to look for "Anynet+" or "HDMI-CEC" in the samsung user manual and turn it off. The fact that a component connection will work while the hdmi doesn't is a clue that CEC is the source of this problem.
